At Downey we are proud of our history and feel that we have been able to maintain our record for quality and innovation for over 100 years by being flexible, open-minded and willing to embrace change.

We are excited about the future and believe that despite the daily bombardment of images, emails and texts that seem to be the norm nowadays, there will always be a place for truly unique stationery that combines the best elements of traditional printing, beautiful materials that are a joy to touch and cutting edge printing with finishing techniques that can bring your idea to life!

Downey were one of the first to introduce exceptionally thick Invitations which for those truly special events can make quite a memorable first impression, by combining different finishes and colours of card, an Invitation can be made up to 1cm in thickness or more, these are supplied with bespoke high quality box envelopes which can be addressed with hand written calligraphy for that finishing personal touch! We also introduced the use of 'suede style' materials to create Invitations that have an amazing tactile finish, please ask one of our Advisors for information and samples from our new 'Touch' Invitation range.

We are always open to new ideas and work very closely with designers in trying new materials and printing techniques. In February 2008 Downey opened a new Sales office based in Beverly Hills, California. We are keen to expand our sales of high quality Stationery into the USA, most notably beautiful Invitations for Corporate parties, Fashion shows and Film premieres, and also luxurious personal and wedding stationery. We believe there is enourmous potential in offering the same high quality stationery and customer service to a new exciting market.
